Wells Fargo invests $55,000 in Imperial County Nonprofits

Wells Fargo will present two separate grants totaling $55,000 to Imperial County nonprofits. The grants provided by the Wells Fargo Foundation will provide support for small businesses and provide specialized financial education to senior citizens.  Recipients of the grants include Accion and Neighborhood House of Calexico. In addition to the grants, Wells Fargo will expand services to customers with the addition of a new ATM in Calexico. Congressman Juan Vargas 51st District, will attend and provide remarks during the presentation.

The presentation will be held at the Wells Fargo in Calexico, 250 E 4th Street, Calexico, CA 92231 on Thursday, February 18, 2016, from 11:00 a.m. to 11:45 a.m.

The grants will provide much needed support to Imperial County communities through small business development as well as financial education for seniors. The small business grant to Accion will provide access to capital for small business and support small business growth for Imperial County. The financial education grant to Neighborhood House of Calexico will help seniors in Calexico better understand available financial resources and utilize ATM’s and online services. Both programs are crucial in supporting the financial needs of rural communities and encouraging economic growth for the region. The programs and additional ATM service will help bolster financial services in Calexico.
