Understanding the Affordable Care Act (ACA) and its effect on your Small Business

EL CENTRO – The Joint Chamber of Commerce is holding a Health Care Forum Tuesday, November 19 from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m., with breakfast and registration starting at 8:00 a.m. at Ryerson Hall, 225 Wake Avenue in El Centro.

The Keynote speaker will be a representative from Molina Healthcare, the health insurance company available here in the Imperial Valley through Covered California, the California Health exchange under ACA.

There will be no cost to small business owners, but reservations are encouraged as seating is limited.

The Affordable Care Act, ACA, is a federal law that makes health insurance mandatory.

At the center of the law is the individual mandate, which requires everyone, except those the President has granted special wavers, and a few special exceptions, to have health coverage by 2014.

Come and learn how this will affect you and your small business by participating in a Small  Business Health Care Forum and hear what the local experts have to say.

A panel will include a local attorney, accountant, insurance agent and representatives from local hospitals and from Clinicas de Salud de Pueblo.

RSVP by calling 760-352-3681 or emailing Anthony@elcentrochamber.com
