Tigers Claw Way To Another IVL Girls’ Golf Match Win



BLYTHE — The local Imperial Valley girls’ golf teams traveled Tuesday to the edge of the Imperial Valley League boundaries to play the No. 4 IVL meet of the season here at Blythe Municipal Golf Course.

Imperial High continued its winning as the Tigers won their fourth straight league match.

Imperial collectively carded a 278 beating Palo Verde Valley (298), Southwest (320), Brawley Union (322), Central Union (353) and Holtville (382).

Palo Verde Valley’s Hanna Browder narrowly captured the medalist of the match as she carded a 43 edging out the trio of Imperial sisters in Raegan Preece (45), Morgan Preece (48) and Camille Preece (49).

Imperial continues to lead the point total for the season and will look to continue their winning ways en route to an IVL title.

IVL match No. 5 will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday at Desert Trails Golf Course in El Centro.
