The Registrar of Voters sends out correction for online registration



The Registrar of Voters office would like to announce the following information to the voters of Imperial County. 

Online Voter Registration  – The Secretary of State has launched the new California Online Voter Registration (COVR) application process. Anyone who is eligible to register to vote in CA can submit an electronic voter registration application by going to  or

September 27 – October 16, 2012, between these dates the county elections official shall mail a Sample Ballot and polling place notice to each registered voter.

   October 9 – October 30, 2012 – Vote-by-Mail Ballot Application Period. Between these dates voters may apply for a vote-by-mail ballot from the Elections Department.

   October 9, 2012 – last day to register to Vote to ensure receipt of Sample Ballot. Voter registration cards received by this date (postmarks are not acceptable) will be added to the rolls and the voters will receive a Sample Ballot Booklet prepared by the county elections official.

   October 22, 2012 – last day to register to vote for the November 6th Presidential Election
