Letters to the Editor

As a concerned voter from the City of El Centro, I am curious as to whether it is legal for Cheryl Viegas Walker to have re-elect Mayor Walker on all of her campaign signs when in fact the mayor's position in the City of El Centro is not an elected position. Is she using her title as mayor to unfairly promote herself as a candidate for city council realizing that in small print on the bottom of her signs it does indicate that she is running for city council?

Additionally I have another concern question. Is it fair and legal for candidate Jaime Honald to advertise his business of Burgers & Beer by wearing his company logo in all of his campaign advertising?

I would appreciate any input and clarification that could be provided. Thank you very much.

A concerned citizen and voter from El Centro.

Signed,

Toni Thompson
