John “Jack” Haidu Borchard, 90, of El Centro, CA passed away Saturday, October 21, 2017 of natural causes. Jack was born in Santa Ana, CA on April 27, 1927. Married Carolyn Ashburn of Baltimore, MD on July 16, 1949 in Santa Ana, CA.

Jack truly enjoyed his life. Self-employed farmer in the Imperial Valley as John H Borchard Ranches & El Oso Grande from 1958 to 1977, S.W. Marketing from 1990 to 1993.

Dad lived for his wife and family. Wonderful parties, dancing, cards, flying his plane, driving his boat and motorhome. He loved traveling around the U.S., Canada & Europe. He took grandkids in the summer to spend time with them in the motorhome, bringing them to Idaho to visit the Simpson’s, Lake Havasu for Thanksgiving, plane rides, boat rides and lots of Sunday dinners and celebrations.

Our Dad was a devout Catholic, remembering everyone in his daily rosary and prayers. Our Dad was so wonderful, devoted to our Lord and Blessed Virgin Mary. Giving us his guidance, strength, encouragement, work ethic, his love of our country and God, his compassion and most importantly, his love. We are grateful and blessed to have him for our Dad.

Dad has been lovingly cared for by daughter, Barbara, and Martha Favila for over seven years. Dad was extremely grateful for his excellent care and love. Jan Bell, Tracy Norton, and Chinetta Potts-Scott also took wonderful care of Dad. Our Dad is gone but will never be forgotten. God Bless you.
