Jordan “Jordy” Gregory Schmidt

March 29, 1989 — December 15, 2021

Jordan “Jordy” Gregory Schmidt went to the great fishing hole in the sky on December 15, 2021. Jordan was born to Greg and Darla Schmidt on March 29, 1989, the youngest of their three boys.

Jordan’s pride and joy were his “Princess,” Jayden Danae and his “Peanut,” Jace Whiskey. Jordan enjoyed spending time with his dog and longtime companion, Smokey, the

outdoors, tinkering with mechanics, fishing, and an ice-cold beer. Jordan valued his family and friends. With his wild personality, infectious laugh, piercing blue eyes, and mile-wide smile, he acquired friends from all walks of life and never met a stranger.

Jordy will be remembered as a loving Son, Father, Brother, Grandson, Nephew, Cousin, and a dear Friend to many.

Jordan is preceded in death by his grandparents, Mike and Joanne Schmidt, Charles “Buddy” Brown, Tom Kemp, and uncle, Kirk Schmidt.

He is survived by parents, Darla Schmidt and Jose Baldovinos, Greg and Natalie Schmidt; children, Jayden Danae Schmidt (Kilah Harsany) and Jace Whiskey Schmidt (Leigh Bradford); brothers, Jeremy and Justin Schmidt; stepsiblings, Eric, Karen and Luisa Baldovinos, Jordan and Nash Greenwood; grandmothers, Mona “Mema” Kemp and Mary Brown, along with numerous uncles, aunts, and cousins.

Jordan’s intense humor, dazzling personality, bright smile, contagious laughter, and his love for people truly will be missed. His profession of faith to Jesus Christ as a child ensures we will see him in heaven one day.

A Celebration of Life conducted by Norman Chandler will be held on Friday, January 14, at the American Legion in Brawley. The Celebration of Life will begin at 3 p.m. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Turning Point Ministries.
