Freddy Granados

December 17, 1955 – July 28, 2019

Freddy Granados was born December 17, 1955 in the city of Brawley. He passed away peacefully July 28, 2019 at the age of 63 in his home in El Centro.

Freddy graduated from Brawley Union High School in 1975 and attended Imperial Valley College from 1975-1980. He later attended the College of the Redwoods Police Academy in Eureka, and graduated in 1984.

Freddy was a reserve officer at the Imperial Police Department from August, 1975 to July, 1977 and a reserve officer at the Calipatria Police Department from July, 1977 to June, 1978. He was a police officer trainee at the Westmorland Police Department from  October, 1978 to September, 1979 and a reserve officer at the Imperial Police Department from September, 1982 to April, 1984. He also worked as a security officer at Imperial High School in the '80s. He became an Imperial police officer June 29, 1984.

Freddy was married to Martha on August 25, 1995, and remained so for 24 years.

He cherished getting together with his family and friends, camping, cookouts and just having a wonderful time.

Freddy is survived by his wife, Martha, his sisters Rosalind Alcantra, Irma Suazo, his brother Danny Granados, nephews Gregory (Goyo) Lance, Benjamin, and nieces Crystal and Evelina.

Mass service will be held at 10 a.m. on August 10, 2019 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, located at 402 S. Imperial Ave. in Brawley, Ca.
