Eva Figueroa, 97, of El Centro, CA was born in Etzatlan, Jalisco, Mexico June 10, 1922. She married Raul M. Figueroa. Eva passed away peacefully in her home from natural causes October 28, 2019 surrounded by family.
Eva was an excellent seamstress, wonderful homemaker, and loved tending to her garden. She was a beautiful daughter, sister, mother, grandmother, aunt and friend to all that knew her. She was a devout Catholic that regularly attended Our Lady of Guadalupe Church and a lifetime member of the Mutualistas.
Eva is preceded in death by her parents, Alejo & Guadalupe Avila, her husband, Raul Figueroa, siblings, Antonio, Marina, Santa, Adan, Cesar and Estela, and her grandson, Mario Avila Jr.
She is survived by her sister, Livier Avila, and her children, Mario & Silvia Avila, Maribel and Ted Olivares, and Rocio and Larry McMillan. She is also survived by grandchildren, Theresa, Lorena, David, Cesar, Silvia Mariana, Erika, Cindy, Leslie, and Karlee Eva. She is also survived by her loving caregiver, Rosa, plus numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation for Eva will be Thursday, November 7, from 6:30 p.m. – 9 p.m. at Our Lady of Guadalupe Church in El Centro, CA. with a rosary at 7 p.m.
A funeral mass will be Friday, November 8, at 9 a.m. at Our Lady of Guadalupe Church in El Centro, CA. Burial will be at Evergreen Cemetery in El Centro following the mass.
