Elvira R. Beltran

October 14, 1925 – August 31, 2019

Elvira R. Beltran, 93, was born on October 14, 1925. She lived her entire life in Calipatria, and was an honorary invitee participant in the city’s Centennial Parade held on March 2, 2019, as the city’s oldest living born-and-raised resident.  

Elvira married Miguel R. Beltran on April 16, 1954 in Mexicali, BC.

Her family was the love of her life. Elvira loved music and family gatherings. She also enjoyed her coffee and pan dulce throughout the day.  

Elvira passed on August 31, 2019. She will be deeply missed and forever remembered.

Elvira is preceded in death by her son, Tommy Hernandez, her husband, Miguel Beltran, her parents, Abran and Maria Ramirez, two sisters and four brothers.

She is survived by her daughters, MaryLou Ramirez, Arlene Torres, Sylvia Leon, and Susanna Briley, and by her sons, Fred Beltran, Mike Beltran, Frank Beltran, and Robert Beltran. Elvira is also survived by her sister,  Josephine Quiroz, numerous daughters and sons-in laws, 17 grandchildren 30 great-grandchildren, three great-great grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be September 12 at 6 p.m. at St. Patrick Catholic Church in Calipatria, with a rosary at 7 p.m.

Mass will be held September 13 at 8 a.m. at St. Patrick Catholic Church with Father Danny Onyeayana officiating. Burial will follow mass at 10 a.m. at Riverview Cemetery in Brawley, CA.
