Arturo “Turi” Garcia Gutierrez

Arturo “Turi” Garcia Gutierrez, 69, was born on March 23, 1950, in Brawley. He married Inocencia “Martha” Gutierrez on July 22, 1972 in El Centro. 

Turi worked as a local farm worker with Elmore Ranches and Golden State, and he retired as a foreman. He enjoyed cooking out with his family and friends, listening to his favorite music and sharing his childhood stories.

Turi passed away on May 31, 2019.

Turi is preceded in death by his parents, Daniel and Marina Gutierrez, and his sister, Frances Garcia Gutierrez.

He is survived by his wife, Inocencia “Martha” Gutierrez, his daughters, Esmeralda Ortiz, Veronica Urbina, and Brenda Gutierrez, seven grandchildren, three sons-in-law, one brother, and six sisters. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Visitation for Turi will be Friday, June 7, 2019 from 6 to 9 p.m. at Frye Chapel and Mortuary in Brawley. A graveside service will be on Saturday, June 8, 2017 at 9 a.m. at Riverview Cemetery in Brawley.
