SACRAMENTO – The Department of Toxic Substances Control (DTSC) is holding a public workshop on its draft Supplemental Environmental Projects (SEP) Policy. The policy review is part of their commitment to environmental justice. The goal of the workshop is for the DTSC to answer questions and get feedback on the SEP Policy.
SEP’s are projects that iprove public health or the environment. Communities where environmental laws have been broken can directly benefit from SEPs. A SEP can partially fulfill a penalty for breaking an environmental law. The draft SEP policy on the DTSC Website can be read on their website www.dtsc.ca.gov
