EL CENTRO — The on-going case of Annette Buttner, the Imperial County Board of Education member charged with two counts of perjury, one count of filing false declaration of candidacy, and one count of grand theft — value exceeding $950 — resumed Friday, June 12, at the Imperial County Courthouse in El Centro.

During the hearing, Buttner requested a 955 motion (asked the judge to dismiss all or part of a criminal case) and a 1382 motion (asked the judge to dismiss a case in furtherance of justice.)

Both motions were denied by the Honorable Judge Jeffery Jones.

Buttner's next hearing is scheduled for Thursday, July 9, at the Superior Court House in El Centro.
