Art show presented at Juanita Salazar Lowe Gallery


IMPERIAL – Haesook “Hannah” Lee and Hyewon Yoon, Visual Consciousness: Textures by Process, opens with a public reception from 4-7 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 2 at the Juanita Salazar Lowe Art Gallery, Imperial Valley College, 380 E. Aten Road in Imperial. This exhibit will be on display through Wednesday, Nov. 29. Parking is free for all lots during the reception. There are over 50 paintings on view.

Lee holds a Bachelor’s of fine arts from the University of Illinois, Champaign-Urbana. She has exhibited her artworks at the Los Angeles Municipal Art Gallery, Whittier Art Gallery, and SoPas Art Gallery, among others. Using acrylic, wood and other materials, she interprets her favorite Bible quotes in abstract form. Lee lives and works in Arcadia, California.

Yoon holds a Master of Fine Arts from the San Francisco Art Institute and a Bachelor’s of fine arts from the college of fine art, Sook-Myung Women’s University, Seoul, Korea.

She has exhibited her artworks at the Torrance Art Museum, Galleria Deco, Sao Paulo, SP, Brazil, and several galleries in South Korea, among others. She creates detailed abstract textures with black ink on canvas and paper. Yoon lives and works in Chandler, Arizona.
