The motorcyclist was identified as a 40 year old male, from Imperial, riding a 2004 Honda CBR 1000.
He was driving eastbound on Anza Road, east of Hammers Road, at a stated speed of 40-45 miles per hour when a medium sized, light-colored dog ran across the roadway directly into the path of the motorcyclist.
