Alma was born in 1933 in Los Angeles, CA to Guadalupe and Mike Aguilar. In 1950, she married Isaac Reyes and together they raised 6 children of whom she was very proud.
Alma was an amazing mother, excellent cook, a talented seamstress and a great friend to many. She held various jobs throughout her work career, instilling in her children the importance of education and a strong work ethic.
Over the years, Alma always emphasized family unity. She demonstrated this endlessly by being her children’s and grandchildren’s biggest fans.
A few of Alma’s favorite things to do were shopping for great deals, talking to friends on the phone, watching novelas, putting puzzles together, listening to Spanish music and reading the daily IV Press newspaper.
Her husband, Isaac Reyes, and her brother, Carlos Aguilar, preceded Alma in death.
She is survived by her children, Maria Elena Leyvas (Conrado), Delia Rodriguez (Jimmie), Richard Reyes (Molly), Kathy Grijalva (Gilbert), Terry Theuret, and Adrienne Rodriguez (Mark), plus 13 grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
