EL CENTRO â€” The Imperial County Board of Supervisors presentedÂ Margaret Ann Whitehead Sperber with a resolution honoring her Centennial Birthday during Tuesdayâ€™s Board Meeting. Margaret was born on June 25, 1916 in Long Beach, California and moved to Brawley in 1923 with her family to start a new life. She graduated from Brawley Union High School and attended Brawley Jr. College, now IVC, and received a Secretarial Certificate from California College of Commerce in Long Beach. Margaret lived in Holtville for over 63 years and served the community as President of the Jr. Womanâ€™s Club, Holtville Womanâ€™s Club and Imperial County Republican Woman. Margaret has three children, four grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren, five great-great grandchildren, and two great-great-great grandchildren.
