Imperial County courts reinstate physical distancing measures

EL CENTRO — In the court’s continuing efforts to reduce spread and exposure during the current surge of COVID-19 in the community, the Superior Court of California, County of Imperial will be re-implementing physical distancing requirements throughout the courthouses in addition to those changes implemented earlier this week, according to a press release. Signage and distance markers will be placed to limit seating in courtrooms and hallways to provide appropriate distancing.

The court continues to maintain its safety protocols and carefully assessing whether additional measures may be needed to further the health, safety, and welfare of those that work at or enter its courthouses, while keeping essential services open and available.
