HEBER — A Heber Elementary School District employee has been placed on administrative leave after reports of alleged inappropriate behavior and misconduct with a child.
According to a press release dated May 20, the alleged incident was not reported to have occurred on school district sites or facilities.
Juan Cruz, superintendent of the Heber Elementary School District, assures district guardians and parents that the district will be cooperative with law enforcement.
“The well-being and safety of our students are top priorities of Heber Schools and under no circumstance does the district condone or tolerate inappropriate behaviors or actions. We will continue to cooperate fully with law enforcement and will take appropriate action consistent with the law and district policy in handling this matter,” Cruz said in the HESD press release.
Dogwood Elementary School principal Darlene Herrera was not available for comment at the time of writing.
