IV Wounded Warriors to be honored by local concert



HOLTVILLE – Wounded Warriors of Imperial Valley (WWIV) is hosting a concert to benefit Valley Wounded Warriors on Friday, November 8, at the Barbara Worth Resort and Country Club.

For the past six years, WWIV has hosted area Wounded Warriors, United States servicemen and women who were wounded in service to our country,  are treated to a weekend of entertainment to give them a break from their recovery to enjoy themselves.

The weekend of festivities begins with The Chris Gardner Band concert on Friday night. Saturday morning there is pheasant hunting on a private ranch followed by a steak and lobster dinner. Saturday evening the group attends the Brawley Cattle Call Rodeo. Sunday morning there is more hunting and brunch at the Barbara Worth Country Club.

Dinner will be served from 5 to 9 p.m. and the concert starts at 8:30 p.m.

Tickets are $25 pre-sale, $30 at the door, and $40 for dinner and the show.

Tickets may be purchased at The Rock Coffee Shop & Café at 132 South Plaza and the Brawley Chamber of Commerce at 204 South Imperial, both in Brawley.

All proceeds will benefit the Imperial Valley Wounded Warrior

All funds raised in the Imperial Valley will remain in the Imperial Valley.

The Wounded Warriors of Imperial Valley is a tax deductible, non-profit organization.
