IMPERIAL – The ground was muddy and the band was jumping Tuesday night at the Country Superstars Tribute at the Mid Winter Fair and Fiesta. The concert got down on the main Wells Fargo Grandstand stage and had fans rocking out to the music of Jason Aldean, Kenny Chesney, and Eric Church.

The performance featured fan-favorite songs like Big Green Tractor, Springsteen, and You and Tequila. While this was a country concert by definition, that didn’t stop the Eric Church tribute band from breaking out into the well-known 2Pac song “California Love”, much to the delight of the crowd.

Imperial native, Ananice Bush, went for the Country music but was thrilled by the incorporation of 90’s music.

“That was so much fun!”  Bush said. “It was cool to see because he performs in Las Vegas now, but is from the Valley originally. To see him bring that song out and represent where he comes from was really neat to see.”
