Brawley Chambers helps businesses navigate through COVID-19

BRAWLEY— The Brawley Chamber of Commerce announced they are taking the following measures to address COVID-19 in their office function within these limits:

1.            Office will have limited access to walk-in traffic, with office hours of Monday thru Friday 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. Please limit visits if you are feeling ill or have been around anyone feeling ill. They can be reached by phone at 760-344-3160 or email katie@brawleychamber.com or ramiro@brawleychamber.com anytime.

2.            A partial work-from home policy has been implemented, which means that they are always accessible during the day to assist with a need that may arise. They can be contacted via phone, email, social media, or their website.

3.            They are taking extra precautions to clean and sanitize the office space systematically throughout the day.

The chamber shares their concerns for business owners stating while the health and safety of members and the region at large are of utmost importance, the threat to economic stability created by this pandemic is hard to ignore. While many can work from home and continue in their current employment, there are many more that cannot continue working with this workplace shift. Other businesses have been forced to adjust their level of service or close their doors completely, leaving employees with reduced or zero income. “Perhaps the heaviest burden is carried by business owners threatened with the prospect of losing their business, their livelihood, altogether. We get it,” said by the chamber.

“With strict orders from local, state, and federal leadership for business closures and remote working options, we understand these times can be stressful and unsettling. The local and global effect of coronavirus (COVID-19) continues to evolve, requiring a level of flexibility that can be challenging – even outright threatening – for your business. Your chamber is here to provide you with reliable information, resources, and guidelines in hopes of easing the hardships we are all facing in these uncertain times,” said the chamber.

According to the release, the chamber will continue to research and monitor resources that will support business owners and will provide updates as the situation develops. For information on these resources contact 760-344-3160 or email katie@brawleychamber.com or ramiro@brawleychamber.com
