Brawley Christian Academy wins top trophy in Brawley Cattle Call Parade

Rodeo act

BRAWLEY – Thousands turned out for the Brawley Cattle Call Parade Saturday morning to watch the western themed parade as floats, marching band, car clubs, and a variety of novelty acts traveled down Main Street to the delight of all.

Crowds witnessed a giant monster truck sponsored by Brandt Beef, a mule ridden atop a semi-truck that occasionally traveled down the steep ramp to ride the parade before loping back up on top of the moving semi. Girls twisted, turned, leaped, and flipped, while smartly dressed bands played and marched.

The parade offered something for everyone. Veterans from Foreign Wars waved at crowds ten rows thick and young football players decked out in blue and gold proudly rang the coveted Victory Bell.

Although, banners of winners from the different divisions didn’t proceed the designees, judges still chose the top in many fields.
