Behavioral Services to offer new family support group


New to Imperial Valley: Monthly Family Support Group

groupEL CENTRO – The Imperial County Behavioral Health Services is offering a new program for the Imperial Valley, a monthly family support group for families with mental illnesses.


The National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI) family support group is for family, caregivers, friends of people affected by mental illness. This is where people learn from each other’s experiences, share coping strategies, and offer each other encouragement and understanding.

The NAMI Support Group will start on Thursday, September 19 and will meet every third Thursday of the month from 6:00 to 7:30 p.m. at the Imperial County Behavioral Health Services at 202 N. 8th Street, 2nd floor, El Centro, CA.


This support group is offered free of charge, groups are confidential, and support groups are open to all adults (18 and over). You may also visit for more information.
