In an effort to improve the quality of life for Imperial Valley College students, Pioneers Memorial Healthcare District, along with more than 30 other local agencies, will be offering a range of complimentary health screenings during the Fall 2019 Student Health and Wellness event Tuesday, October 8, according to a recent PMH press release.

The event is scheduled between 11 a.m. and 2 p.m. with activities to include flu vaccines, blood pressure and cholesterol screenings, blood-glucose screenings for diabetes, and nutritional consultations, per the release.

The report said all consultations and screenings will be conducted under the oversight of a PIONEERS MEMORIAL professional healthcare provider at no charge.

Pioneers Memorial Healthcare District said in the release they are committed to helping improve the health of the IVC community and currently operates the Imperial Valley College Student Health Center, providing basic health service such as first aid and care for minor student illnesses.

The service also includes health education and nutritional programs.
