El Centro City Hall

The city of El Centro will be applying for park grant funding under Proposition 68 — Parks, Environment, and Water Bond. As part of the process, the public is invited to provide input for the various parks it will be submitting for grant applications.

The city has placed suggestion boxes along with banners with graphics of potential improvements at three park locations: McGee Park, Stark Field, and Swarthout Park. Park suggestion boxes will also be placed at other city buildings inclusive of City Hall, the Community Center, and the Conrad Harrison Youth Center.

El Centro encourages all residents and facilities users to stop by and share their ideas. Let the city know what your ideas are concerning the parks. Boxes and banners will be up until July 19. Stop by one of the following facilities:

Stark Field – 4th Street & Lenrey Avenue

McGee Park – Brighton Avenue & Fairfield Drive

Swarthout Park – 4th Street & Euclid Avenue

City Hall – 1249 W. Main Street

Community Center – 375 S. 1st Street

Conrad Harrison Youth Center – 750 Park Avenue
