IMPERIAL COUNTY – The Imperial County Air Pollution Control District (ICAPCD) announced the winners of the first ever ICAPCD Clean Air Calendar Contest. The following students have been selected to have their artwork displayed in the calendar:

·         Angelica Fernandez Molinar Ramirez, Dool Elementary School

·         Alejandra Perez, Dool Elementary School

·         Mariaha Ramos, Myron D. Witter Elementary School

·         Bruce Garcia, Myron D. Witter Elementary School

·         Destiny Tapia, Myron D. Witter Elementary School

·         Khloe Calderon, Myron D. Witter Elementary School

·         Salma Cervantes, Myron D. Witter Elementary School

·         Yuliana Vergara, Heber Elementary School

·         Madison Vandiver, Westmorland Elementary School

·         Allison Chavez, Westmorland Elementary School

·         Soleil Cuevas, McCabe Elementary School

The ICAPCD said it received over 120 entries from throughout the Imperial Valley. Entries were judged by staff, the Imperial County Public Health Department, and Assembly member Eduardo Garcia and his staff.

ICAPCD congratulated all of the students who entered as it received many outstanding drawings. Its only regret is that there can only be twelve winners.

The ICAPCD in the press report thanked all students, teachers, parents, and school administrators who participated in this year’s contest.
