A Mass will be held for Margot Ann Alcantar on Thursday, September 17, at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church at 9:00 a.m. Visitation will be on Wednesday, September 16 at Frye Chapel and Mortuary from 6:00-9:00 p.m. A Rosary will start at 7:00 p.m. Burial will be private.


Margot A. Alcantar, 61, passed away peacefully at home in Victorville, CA on September 7, 2015.  Margot lived her life for her family.  She spent her free time treating her nieces and nephew to movies or on outings to Dodger Stadium.  She was a true blue Dodger fan.

Margot also enjoyed spending time with her cousins, friends, dancing to James Brown and eating out.  Margot worked at Barbara Worth Jr. High for 35 years and also held her job at Pizza Hut for over 10 years.

Margot was accredited as a pre-teen for a paper she wrote titled “What it is to be an American.”

Margot is preceded in death by her father, Manuel Eros and her grandmother, Adela Reyes.

Margot’s beautiful heart of gold, along with our fondest memories of her are forever instilled within all she leaves behind.  We are- her mother, Lupe Eros, her brothers, Gilbert “Sonny” Alcantar, Carlos (Lucy) Alcantar, Manuel Eros Jr., and her sister, Martha Alcantar. She is also survived by her nieces and nephews, Yvette Eros-Johnson (Jermane), Meah, Jeremiah, Jaylin, J.E. “Bootie” Johnson and Jaydah Johnson Benee, Anthony Baiza, Maria T. Alcantar, Mari Ana Alcantar, Mikel Alcantar, Ethan and Skylar Alcantar, Christopher Alcantar, Carlos “CJ” Alcantar, David Alcantar, Sergio and Eric Valle, Laisha, Layla and Cain Alcantar, Elyse Valle, Kayla Eros Hernandez, Manuel Eros III, Jasmine Eros, Rosalie and Kassie Hernandez, plus many aunts, uncles, and loving cousins.

We love you Yaya, you’ll always be forever young.
