63rd Annual Farm Bureau Scholarship Barbeque Helps Support the Future of Agriculture

Imperial County Farm Bureau logoImperial County Farm Bureau is looking forward to another successful year of raising funds to distribute as scholarships to local students pursuing an education in agriculture. The Imperial County Farm Bureau holds an annual scholarship BBQ where net proceeds go directly toward scholarships. This is one of five scholarship funds that Imperial County Farm Bureau awards scholarships from.

This year’s fundraising BBQ is scheduled for Friday, April 29th, from 5-7 pm at Ryerson Hall  in El Centro. Tickets are $10 per person and are available at the Farm Bureau office at  1000 Broadway in El Centro or by calling (760)352-3831. The event will feature  our delicious deep pit barbecue, old fashion ice cream, live music and activities for the kids. Drive-thru and take out orders will be available. We look forward to having the community come out to support this tradition and our local students!

Scholarship applications are available at the Farm Bureau office or on their website at www.icfb.net and must be submitted by April 22nd. The program is open to local students who will be attending college this fall and are studying an agricultural-related field including graduating high school seniors and current college students.
