3,000 Artifacts in a Day!

Saturday, September 22, 2012 10am – midnight

The Desert Museum @ 11 Frontage Road, Ocotillo, CA

Free of charge

This Saturday from 10am to midnight the Imperial Valley Desert Museum is hosting a massive curation day with a goal of curating 3,000 artifacts in one day! If you have ever been interested in the process of starting a new museum or just wanted to introduce a friend to what the museum does, join with your fellow museum members and supporters as we work to complete 4 weeks worth of curation in a single weekend.

If you need a break, enjoy a film screening of Somewhere Between, a documentary about four teenagers living very different lives, but linked by one common thread: adoption. The film is part of the IVDM’s continued participation in the Sundance Institute’s Film Forward program. The main showing will be at 8pm, but the film will be continually screened throughout the day for our volunteers.
