Wildcats Manage Tight Win Against Tigers

BRAWLEY – Imperial Tigers and the Brawley Wildcats battled it out on the baseball diamond of Wiest Field in Brawley last Friday evening. Tension crackled as these two rival teams went head-to-head in the IVL game.

It was a battle for both teams, with the Wildcats taking the upper-hand and beating the Tigers, 2-0. The win brought the Wildcats’ league record to 5-1, tying for first with Central and Calexico. The Tigers are now 1-5 in league with the loss to the Wildcats.

The Wildcats’ next game will be at home against the San Ysidro Cougars on Saturday May 9th at 11 a.m., then they will travel to Blythe to face the Yellow Jackets on Tuesday May 12th at 3 p.m.

For the Tigers, their next game will be against Calexico High School at home on Tuesday May 12th at 6:30 p.m.
