HOLTVILLE – Hot Rods and Beer, is venturing into an added circuit of bands that will bring, to the Imperial Valley, the real live bands we all love from the 80’s. Wang Chung is the first of many to come and book Hot Rods and Beer onto their touring dates.
Wang Chung is an English new wave musical group formed in 1980. The group found their greatest success in the United States, with five Top 40 hits in the US, all charting between 1983 and 1987, including “Dance Hall Days” (No. 16 in the summer of 1984), “Everybody Have Fun Tonight” (No. 2 in 1986) and “Let’s Go!” (No. 9 in 1987).
Hot Rod’s is known for bringing grade†A†quality tribute bands to the community and filling up the venue with fun and excitement. The idea to bring big city entertainment to the local community is a long time coming for the Imperial Valley.
The Chopping Block understands the importance of joining Hot Rod’s to bring a growing community, like the Imperial Valley, this type of entertainment. It’s a local intimate venue to see bands you would otherwise have to drive 110 miles to see in San Diego or other surrounding venues.
Hot Rod’s is excited to see what other current bands will be stopping by and hanging their signed guitar on Hot Rod’s walls of fame.
