Trespassing Arrests Made On School Campus


el-centro-police-department logoEL CENTRO – Shortly after midnight on Sunday August 11th, an alert citizen living near Wilson Jr. High School called the police after spotting 3 males running across the school rooftops.  The males, all adults residing in El Centro were detained by police officers just as the exited the campus.

After detaining the trio, officers and a guard from a private security company checked the campus for signs of vandalism or burglary, none were discovered.  Arrested for trespassing were 22 year old Byron Settles, 20 year old Miguel Quines, and 20 year old Kameran Greer.  The males were given citations, charging them with trespassing, and they were released from custody.

“We’re thankful that a neighbor decided to get involved and call us”, said Commander Jeff Mason.
