BRAWLEY – The Toastmasters Club is taking tentative steps to open another chapter in Brawley.
The first informational meeting will be at noon on Friday, May 9 in the Chamber of Commerce conference room.
This will include a 30 minute sample of what happens at a normal Toastmasters meeting, followed by 30 minutes for Q&A.
Jason Zara, CEO of Brawley Chamber, and the mover and shaker to bring the club to Brawley said, “In business, it is necessary to sell both yourself and your products and services if you want to be successful. Toastmasters provides experience in public speaking and leadership, and will be a valuable asset to anyone in the business community. The club will not be limited to Chamber of Commerce members, but it does provide another valuable tool for the business community.”
According to Zara, attending the meeting is free and you are under no obligation to join the club. He asks anyone thinking of attending to bring suggestions for a club name, and consider meeting times and days (Friday at noon is tentatively proposed).
Club members from surrounding areas will be in attendance to help you learn more.
If you or anyone you know would like to improve your public speaking and help others do the same, please join us.
RSVP by May 7 to email@example.com
Zara added, “The El Centro Wintergarden Toastmasters Club showed me the value of Toastmasters and I look forward to seeing that same environment of growth and camaraderie in Brawley.”
