Time2Drive® brings parents and teens together

Time to drive 3

IMPERIAL - Hart Insurance Center and the California Highway Patrol  are bringing Time2Drive, a driving safety program sponsored by Allied Insurance, to the Imperial Valley on April 27, 2013 at the IV Expo – Casa de Manana building, 200 East 2nd Street, Imperial, CA from 11:00 a.m – 3:00 p.m.

This fun, interactive event will help drivers of all ages better understand the risks drivers face when they get behind the wheel. According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (2010), motor vehicle accidents are the leading cause of death for U.S. teens — accounting for more than one in three deaths in this age group.

Highlights of the event include:

  •  A driving simulator —get behind the wheel of the simulator to learn, firsthand, about the dangers of distracted driving
  •  Fatal Vision Goggles —be able to see how dangerous intoxicated driving really is
  • Young drivers will learn ways to become better drivers and will be encouraged to think about the consequences of poor choices they might make on the road
  • Parents and teens will have an opportunity to sign a commitment form to promote good driving behavior
  • Food and giveaways

Hart Insurance Center, the California Highway Patrol and Allied Insurance all have the same goal — to keep drivers safe on the roads. Time2Drive is a great way to show drivers how to avoid accidents and tickets. It helps parents and teens find some common ground when it comes to safe driving, too.
