Tigers Secure Win Against Eagles, 8-6

IMPERIAL – It was a close game last Thursday evening as the Southwest Eagles’ varsity baseball team traveled to face the Imperial Tigers on the Tiger’s home field. The two teams were hit-for-hit, score-for-score throughout the game, but in the end it was the Tigers who secured the win, 8-6.

Despite the loss, Eagle batters still had a good night. Leading the Eagles in offense was sophomore Cameron Cannon who was 2-4 with 3 RBI’s. Following Cannon was senior Joel Manzano who was 1-2 with 1 RBI. Next was senior Edward Romero who was 1-3 with 1 RBI and after Romero was senior J. Benavidez who was 2-3.

The Eagles will face the Palo Verde Yellow Jackets at home on Tuesday May 5th at 7 PM.

The Tigers next game will be at home against the Central Spartans on Tuesday May 5th at 6:30 PM.
