OLDSMOBILE HILL DUNES – On Friday, April 18th, an anonymous caller reported a quad accident to the Imperial County Sheriffs Office close to the intersection of Hwy 78 and Gecko Road which had four units responding, including Gold Cross Ambulance.
First on the scene, the BLM said the collision was between a dune buggy and a quad, with the person on the quad injured with a possible broken leg, later to be thought two broken legs. The subject was conscious and breathing.
Airship Care Flight 7 airlifted the injured to a hospital.
EL CENTRO – A Calexico resident called ICSO to report a suspicious person trying to break into her house by trying to open her door.
She reported that she saw a male subject run north from her trailer.
HOLTVILLE – ICSO received a call from the Yuma Air Traffic Control after a pilot reported someone had pointed a laser at his plane around 11:00 p.m.
The pilot reported the suspect to be between Norrish to 8 miles north of Boyd.
HOLTVILLE – According to ICSO logs, a two-year-old Holtville toddler was bitten by a dog and taken to Pioneers Memorial Hospital emergency room. The dog was taken to a dog shelter in Holtville.
BRAWLEY – A medical emergency call went out from Spreckles Sugar Company, Friday, April 18th at 1:30 p.m. that a 50-year-old male had cut his hand and had passed out at least two times. Gold Cross took him for medical attention.
