CALEXICO – According to Calexico Police Department records, on April 3 an officer conducted a pedestrian check on a bicyclist that was suspected to have an active felony warrant for alleged possession of a dirk/ dagger. The suspect allegedly fled the scene on foot and a pursuit ensued.
The suspect reportedly jumped the fence into a backyard resident near the area of Paulin Avenue, according to logs. A perimeter was set up with the assistance of the of the U.S. Border Patrol. After further search, the subject, identified as Sergio Bedillo Aispuro, was intercepted near the area of Rockwood Avenue by USBP and Calexico officers where he was arrested and booked into county jail on suspicion of delaying/ resisting a peace officer, according to police records.
CALEXICO – On April 3, Calexico Police logs reported an officer dispatched to the area of East Cole Road in response to a broken window and alleged burglary at a business. The cash register was said to contain $60. According to police records, surveillance video was unable to produce a clear image of the suspect due to the quality of the video.
