GMC in canal
HOLTVILLE– On Sunday, the IC sheriff’s office received a call concerning a vehicle in a canal by Norish and Holt. Four units responded and a Gold ambulance. A GMC truck was inside the 14 – 15 foot deep canal, but the pickup was not totally submerged according to the sheriff’s logs. Medical attention was called as the subject was in the water.

Vehicle on fire
WESTMORLAND – CHP requested Sheriff’s aid at Highway 86 and Three Flags Ranch for a vehicle fire with the subject still in the vehicle truck with trailer, Sunday. An ambulance was requested and three Border Patrol agents were enroute.

ATV accident
GLAMIS – Imperial Sheriff’s office responded to an ATV accident at Sand Highway just west of Osbourne around 12:30 p.m. Sunday. BLM medical arrived at scene.

Stolen vehicle
GLAMIS – A stolen vehicle was reported Sunday around 1:23 p.m. at Wash 8 and Oldsmobile by Glamis. The vehicle was stolen the day before around 11:00 p.m.

CPR performed on unconscious person
GLAMIS – CHP reported a Cardiac Pulmonary Resuscitation in progress on a 59 –year-old who was found unconscious and not breathing. BLM medical was the first on the scene, with CPR in progress for approximately 10 minutes. Reach could not come due to inclement weather. Mercy 18 was called with a 38 minute estimated time of arrival. Gold Cross Ambulance arrived on scene and transported the patient to PMH to continue with CPR.

Wrong way on bypass
BRAWLEY – Saturday, Imperial County Sheriff’s office cited a driver in a Ford Fusion at 11:00 p.m. driving on the Brawley Bypass the wrong way, putting the southbound traffic in a head on collision course. The officers were able to get him off the bypass at the Best Road exit. He was cited for expired registration ad driving on the wrong side of the highway.

Rowdy neighbors
GLAMIS – An anonymous male called the sheriff’s office from their pad in Glamis around 2:00 a.m. Sunday morning. He said his neighbors had fireworks and when he attempted to contact the subjects to ask them to stop, they started shooting the fireworks at his trailer. The caller said they were scared and moved their camp around 3:30 a.m. to another location because the neighbors continued to aim fireworks at his family and offered cocaine to the caller and his family. The neighbors knocked several times and used an air horn to get their attention, but they refused to answer the door. Sheriffs found firework wrappers next to the offending motorhome.

Three vehicles stolen in one night
CALEXICO – On November 24, Calexico Police Officers responded to the 500 block of Las Flores in reference to a 1996 Acura Integra stolen during the evening hours. Furthermore, the officers responded to the 500 block of Canal Street where a second vehicle described as a Honda Civic was also stolen. A third vehicle described as a black 2015 Harley Street Bob, bearing CA LP#22C7187 was also stolen in the 300 block of East Second Street. No suspect information is available.

Street racers arrested
CALEXICO – On November 24, Calexico Police Officer Lopez observed two vehicles racing (speed contest) southbound on Andrade Avenue and were stopped shortly. Both drivers were placed under arrest for speeding and both vehicles were impounded. The drivers were later cited and released from the CPD.

Burglar arrested at port of entry
CALEXICO – On November 26, Everado Rodriguez was arrested at the Calexico Port of Entry as he entered the United States from Mexico after a record’s check revealed he had three arrest warrants.  The warrants were for being in violation of burglary, possession of stolen property, and a stolen vehicle.  Rodriguez was booked on the listed warrants at the Imperial County jail.
