Farming equipment reported stolen
IMPERIAL — On November 21, the Sheriffs responded to the area of Imler and Montee, west of Forrester Road, in reference to various stolen farming equipment which included batteries and sprinkler parts. The reporting person said equipment had also been stolen from other farmers in the area, especially at night and advised there could be a few workers in the area in the evening depending on the work needed for the fields.
Three person altercation with weapons reported
BRAWLEY — On November 21, an assist call went out to the Sheriff’s office from the Brawley PD concerning a physical alteration behind Circle K. According to the logs, it was three against one and weapons of an unknown nature were involved. Three units responded to the altercation.
Porta Pottie reported stolen
BRAWLEY — On November 21, a Porta Pottie theft was reported from the intersection of Forrester Road and Cady, to the Brawley Police Department.
Three adults and a child reported lost with no food or water
GLAMIS — On November 20, a lost persons report was called into the Sheriff’s Office involving three adults and a child in a sand rail stuck in the sand by Brawley Slide and Lizard Hill. The reporter said they had no water, food or jackets and have been out there for over four hours. The person said they do have a cellphone signal and are not in need of medical attention, although they report being cold. BLM was contacted as well as the Border Patrol who took over the case with the BP sending two agents from their Calexico station.
Illegal aliens apprehended in fake IID vehicle
CALEXICO — On November 20, Border Patrol Agents reported they stopped a vehicle that was loading up illegal aliens into a white Ford F150 single cab vehicle that had a fake IID logo on it. The people were apprehended and the vehicle towed.
Pilot reports green lazer pointed at him while flying over Brawley
BRAWLEY — On November 20, Los Angeles Air Traffic Control reported a N17TX aircraft with a green lazer pointed at him about forty minutes prior, while flying over Brawley. According to the GPS, it was within the city limits of Brawley in the Warne Field area.
Subject reported screaming and scaring people while holding a hammer reported
CALEXICO — On November 18, Calexico Police Officers responded to the area of west Seventh Street where a subject was reported screaming all morning and possibly under the influence. The subject reportedly had a hammer in his possession and was scaring people as they passed by. According to the police log, the person barricaded himself at the location. After several law enforcement units arrived on scene for back-up, the subject ultimately came out. Khamo George Chassaq was arrested for assault with a deadly weapon and later booked into the Imperial County Jail.
