Woman succumbs to heart attack
EL CENTRO – A 65 year old female was rushed to the El Centro Regional Medical Center, October 16 at 6:15 a.m., she had gone into cardiac arrest and was brought in by EMS from the Calexico fire.

 

Victim assaulted and transported to YMRC
WINTERHAVEN — An assault was reported to the Imperial County Sheriff’s office in Winterhaven, on October 16 around 11:30 p.m., of a victim saying 45 minutes ago he was beaten by two subjects. The reporting person believed his ribs were broken. The incident was reported occurring at a residence behind Ross Corner store. The victim was transported to Yuma Regional Medical Center. The officers went to the suspects’ location and the suspects put up a fight. The suspects were charged with assaulting an officer and booked into Imperial County Jail.

 

Broken arm from dune buggy mishap
GLAMIS — A medical emergency was called into 911 from Osborne Overlook at Glamis dunes on October 15. According to the logs, a 50-year-old male broke his arm in a dune buggy accident. The subject was reported weighing 370 pounds as Gold Ambulance was called with Reach on standby.

 

Child hurt by fireworks
WINTERHAVEN — The Quechan police requested aid in a medical emergency when a juvenile sustained burns to his leg by fireworks on October 15. The EMS was directed to Quechan Road, west of Ocean to Ocean. The EMS reported the child sustained minor burns to the leg. First aid was administered by the county fire department.
