Copper theft attempt
CALIPATRIA – On October 13, at approximately 10:54 a.m., Imperial County Sheriff’s Office responded to the area of Delta and Sorensen St. in reference to an Hispanic bald adult male attempting to take copper from an older market’s air compressor. Suspect was last seen wearing a long sleeve shirt and dark pants.

Student in need of medical assistance
WINTERHAVEN – On October 13, at approximately 12:05 p.m., Imperial County Sheriff’s Office were dispatched to San Pasqual Valley High School’s gym in reference to an unconscious student experiencing a seizer. The student was flown to Yuma Reginal Medical Center for medical assistance via Reach Air Medical Services.

Shots fired in playground area
EL CENTRO – On October 13, at approximately 1:29 p.m., Imperial County Sheriffs responded to a call from Sunbeam Lake in reference to shots fired near the playground area. Upon their arrival, officers encountered three individuals north of the playground area in possession of a pellet gun.

Juvenile attempting to end her life
CALEXICO – On October 13, at approximately 9:54 a.m., Calexico Police Officers were dispatched to the 700 block of Sam Ellis Street, where a female juvenile subject was attempting to end her life by jumping in front of vehicles. The juvenile was taken to the Imperial County Behavioral Health Department for evaluation.

Pedestrian involved in hit and run
CALEXICO – On October 13, at approximately 7:43 a.m. Calexico Police Officers responded to the area of Second and Heber Avenue, where a pedestrian was involved in a hit and run traffic collision. The pedestrian was transported to a nearby hospital. The incident is currently under investigation.

Juvenile receives prostitution proposal
CALEXICO – On October 13, at approximately 8:13 a.m., Calexico Police Officers were dispatched to Aurora High School in reference to a 17-year old female soliciting a juvenile student to perform illicit sexual encounters with older men in Mexicali for $150.00. The 17-year old suspect was identified and the case forwarded to the District Attorney’s Office for criminal charges.

Male subject found in vehicle in need of medical attention
EL CENTRO – On October 14, at approximately 3:59 a.m., Imperial County Sheriff’s Office responded to a 9-1-1 call in the area of McCabe and Pitzer Ave., involving a male experiencing convulsions. The male subject was transported by ambulance to the nearest hospital for medical assistance.
