CALEXICO – On October 4, Calexico police officers responded to the area of Rancho Frontera and Cole Road regarding a 12-year old boy who did not return home after school. Using GPS technology, the officer was able to find the juvenile laying down near a loading dock area attached to William Moreno Junior High School. The area was dark. The juvenile was rescued by the officer and reunited with his parent. No signs of foul play.
CALEXICO – On October 4, Calexico police officers responded to the area of Birch and Heber Avenue in reference to a suspicious individual. When officers arrived, they made contact with the male suspect and discovered he was carrying a narcotic smoking device and at one point resisted arrest. The suspect was taken into custody and transported to ICSO.
CALEXICO – On October 5, Calexico police officers responded to the area of Second and Pauline Avenue in reference to a strong arm robbery. Upon their arrival, officers located, identified and arrested the male subject and later was transported to the Calexico Police Department for booking. Minutes later officers were dispatched to the 200 block of First Street in reference to a male victim who alleged a knife had been placed on his throat and had been punched on the jaw. Upon further investigation, officers discovered that the same person who had earlier committed the strong armed robbery, was the same suspect who had allegedly committed the assault. The male suspect was eventually charged with an additional crime and transported to ICSO.
