SALTON SEA — The CHP reported on September 19, just before 8:00 p.m., a potential medical emergency on Highway 86 by Norm Niver, north of Salton Sea Beach. Officer Ramon Nuno of the CHP along with three other units responded to the call of a vehicle that had gone over the bridge with unknown injuries. Paramedics and fire departments were dispatched. Upon arrival, the vehicle was found to be empty. By the appearance of the vehicle, the CHP concluded the incident was not recent

 

WINTERHAVEN — Quechan Casino in Winterhaven called the Imperial County Sheriff office around 3:40 a.m., concerning a $100 dollar counterfeit bill. The staff, upon questioning, did not have a suspect, nor do they know when or where the bill was presented besides sometime on September 20.

 

CALEXICO — A call was put into the sheriff’s office at 5:25 a.m. on September 20, concerning the Detention Center on Gateway Road in Calexico. According to Lt. Cox of the detention facility, a detainee assaulted a staff member, however no medical attention was required for the deputy. A report was filed and photos of the injuries logged.

 

EL CENTRO – The El Centro Police posted a “Be on the Lookout for” a gray 2008 Nissan Sentry 4-door at 4:21 a.m. on September 20. The vehicle was stolen from a Yucca Drive residence sometime between September 17 and September 20. There are no suspects. The vehicle has a black front bumper and a faded triangular sticker on the rear winder of the passenger side. 4:21 9/20
