SALTON SEA â€” The CHP reported on September 19, just before 8:00 p.m., a potential medical emergency on Highway 86 by Norm Niver, north of Salton Sea Beach. Officer Ramon Nuno of the CHP along with three other units responded to the call of a vehicle that had gone over the bridge with unknown injuries. Paramedics and fire departments were dispatched. WINTERHAVEN â€” Quechan Casino in Winterhaven called the Imperial County Sheriff office around 3:40 a.m., concerning a $100 dollar counterfeit bill. The staff, upon questioning, did not have a suspect, nor do they know when or where the bill was presented besides sometime on September 20.
CALEXICO â€” A call was put into the sheriffâ€™s office at 5:25 a.m. on September 20, concerning the Detention Center on Gateway Road in Calexico. According to Lt. Cox of the detention facility, a detainee assaulted a staff member, however no medical attention was required for the deputy. A report was filed and photos of the injuries logged.
EL CENTRO â€“ The El Centro Police posted a â€œBe on the Lookout forâ€ a gray 2008 Nissan Sentry 4-door at 4:21 a.m. on September 20. The vehicle was stolen from a Yucca Drive residence sometime between September 17 and September 20. There are no suspects. The vehicle has a black front bumper and a faded triangular sticker on the rear winder of the passenger side. 4:21 9/20
