SALTON CITY – Officers were called for a patrol check when they spotted two juveniles smoking marijuana on the high school grounds in Salton City. One juvenile was released to his guardians and the other was booked into Imperial County Juvenal Hall.
HOLTVILLE – Three units responded to a call from a mother in Holtville when she informed the sheriff’s office that she had found a handgun in a briefcase in a used vehicle she just purchased.
According to the husband, the wife found a 22 caliper Smith & Wesson P22 Walther Handgun underneath the passenger seat of the vehicle her husband purchased yesterday from a Hugo Dominguez.
They had no known location or contact information for Dominguez.
The firearm was booked into the Imperial County Sheriff’s Office as evidence.
HOLTVILLE – A call came in on a theft of sprinklers and miscellaneous items which occurred sometime between Tuesday and 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday at Nature Fresh Farms in Holtville.
The sprinkler heads were valued at $10 each. Photographs were taken of the shoe and tier impressions left.
The reporting person requested patrol checks of area because they have a large amount of sprinkler pipes along the drain ditch.
BOMBAY BEACH – on Wednesday, May 28th, a call came into the sheriff’s office of an assault with a deadly weapon around 8:00 p.m.
Five units responded including a fire engine.
The reporting persons’ boyfriend, Kyle Hill, was allegedly stabbed by someone with the name of Lee, the last name was unknown.
HWY 86 BORDER CHECK SALTON CITY – .49 grams of heroin was found on subject and he was booked into Imperial county jail according to the sheriff’s logs.
