Sun Community continues to grow

EL CENTRO -Sun Community Federal Credit Union will be adding a seventh branch, located inside Cardenas Market in El Centro. The new branch will provide a full range of services with extended hours, providing members a convenient location for evening and weekend banking.

The Cardenas Market branch will open Thursday, October 25th. The ribbon cutting event will begin at 10:00 am on Wednesday, November 7th. There will be light refreshments and a chance to view the branch at 10:00 am, followed by the ribbon cutting at 11:00 am.

Sun Community President/CEO Harold Walk said the credit union has wanted to offer a branch in Cardenas Market for several years.

“We’re doing everything to promote service to our members,” Walk said. “This new branch will provide convenience and service seven days a week for existing members and new ones.”

Cecilia Camere is the new branch manager. She and her staff are very excited to serve the community and to get to know the Cardenas staff and shoppers.

Cardenas Market Manager Sergio Limon said he looks forward to the partnership, which will benefit both the credit union and the market.

“Cardenas Market is excited to welcome Sun Community aboard as part of our team,” he said.
