Southern California Physicians Services Hosts Grand Opening

EL CENTRO- Southern California Physicians’ Service opened it’s doors in a grand opening Thursday afternoon for the benefit of Imperial County doctors, hospitals, and patients.

The business helps physicians, hospitals, and surgery centers with billing, insurances, and credentials to help develop their businesses.

Southern California Physicians was started in 1999 in Kearny Mesa, San Diego County by President Blanca Morales.  It has since then expanded into two more offices, including their new El Cajon location at Jamul, and the newest one in El Centro.

Morales said the business is meant to help physicians make the most out of their resources, to better treat their patients, especially concerning insurance policies and forms, where patients can be charged for something their insurance company should be paying for.

Morales was born and raised in Calexico and then moved to San Diego with her husband.  Inette Dominguez, the company’s Certified Medical Reimbursement Specialist, introduced her to a group of doctors in El Centro who she felt could use the company’s services.

“It’s a lot of work, but you know you’re helping people out financially and they can breathe easier,” said Morales.

Southern California Physicians opened its doors November 2016 and has been growing from that day on.  As of now, five local groups use the services including Dr. Theodor Affue, Dr. Uri Guefen, Dr. Jose Rocomora, and the El Centro Regional Medical Center.

Currently the group serves 30 hospitals and 50 doctors between San Diego and the Imperial County.

Morales has hopes the service continues to grow to serve the medical profession and their customers.
