EL CENTRO – The Imperial Valley Small Business Development Center has signed a cooperative agreement with the Imperial Valley SCORE chapter that will allow both organizations to work from the same location. The U.S. Small Business Administration District Director, Ruben Garcia, is glad to see the two organizations joining forces. “We are excited about the resources that have come together for Imperial Valley entrepreneurs. Business owners have a great opportunity to get free counseling and SBA resources from these partners.”

SCORE is a nonprofit organization dedicated to helping small businesses grow and achieve their goals through education and mentorship. They have been doing this for nearly fifty years and because their work is supported by the U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA), and a network of more than 11,000 volunteers, they are able to deliver services at no charge.

Victor Nava is a SCORE mentor and feels the relationship between the two organizations will help the business community tremendously. “SCORE is very excited to be in this joint venture with IVSBDC and to work with the community. We will be able to provide a full range of services for all businesses in Imperial Valley. The sky is the limit.”
