Sheriff’s Office arrests one for robbery and home invasion outside Brawley.



BRAWLEY – On Thursday, March 20, 2014 the Imperial County Sheriff’s Office Dispatch Center received a call about a robbery in progress at the Alamorio Bar east of Brawley.

Sheriff’s Office Deputies and Investigators were on scene almost immediately, looking for the suspect that the victim had described to Sheriff’s Dispatchers.

While an extensive search was being conducted of the surrounding area by ICSO Investigators, Patrol Deputies and California Highway Patrol K-9’s, a second emergency call was received of a home invasion in progress nearby.

Deputies responded to the residence and the suspect, Brandon Plimpton, 20 years old, of Tucson, AZ was apprehended and taken into custody on the property. Plimpton was booked into Imperial County Jail on charges of robbery and home invasion.

BRAWLEY – On Thursday, March 20, 2014 at around 11:00 a.m. a fire was reported on Highway 111 and Andre Road in Brawley.

Responding patrol received information that it was a controlled burn at around 11:30 a.m.

NILAND – A burglary occurred at Niland Ave and Luxor at around 5:30 p.m.

The reporting person said the suspect broke into the residence and took two boxes containing approximately 100ft of copper wire.
