Sergio “Piña” Magdaleno

Visitation services are scheduled for Monday April 4, 2016, at the Frye Chapel and Mortuary in Brawley from 6-9:00 P.M. with a rosary prayer at 7:00 P.M. Mass services are scheduled for Tuesday, April 5, 2016 at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church in Calipatria at 10:00 A.M officiated by Father Ray Roque followed by burial services at the Riverview Cemetery.
Sergio “Piña” Magdaleno, also known to many as “Plow,” passed away on March 26, 2016 peacefully surrounded by his beloved family.
He was born on September 12, 1959 in La Yerabuena, Michoacan. He married Dora Magdaleno on June 22, 1997 in Syracuse, KS and was a Niland resident.
Piña was a cowboy who loved his family. His hobbies included roping, hunting, fishing and he loved tending to his ranch where he raised his pigs, goats, cows and horses. His other past time was being with his family, throwing some carne asada on the grill so everyone could come together and enjoy.
Sergio is preceded in death by his father, Eleuterio Magdaleno.
Sergio is survived by: wife Dora Magdaleno, sons Polie and Tellito Magdaleno, mother Magdalena, brothers Jorge (Tina), Ricardo (Mayling), sisters Irma (Garry) and Carmen.
